Removing barriers and making the province as accessible as possible for as many as possible is important to making our society as inclusive as possible. Little things, such as sidewalk curbs for wheelchairs, and braille in elevators has worked towards making life more accessible for those of us that need it. The Province has just appointed 11 British Columbians as the first members of the Provincial Accessibility Committee (PAC), marking the next step in this government’s work to remove barriers for people with disabilities in BC. There is more to do, but I am confident the committee will work hard with this government to improve accessibility for those that need it. For more information, click here.
