May 10th to 16th this year is National Nursing Week. It is a week to celebrate and remember the work of all the nurses across Canada. The annual celebrations take place from Monday to Sunday, during the week of Florence Nightingale’s birthday, which is May 12th. This year, nurses have shown exceptional courage and leadership in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are truly grateful for the hard work and the kindness nurses have shown in helping us through this trying time.

I spoke in the legislature about the importance of nurses and how much the role of nurses have impacted our lives. Thank you to all the nurses out there. You are appreciated and you are honoured.
